“HELPING WITH THE TRAILS”
Over the years we have used the trails established by the
U.S. Forest Service here in the Pacific Northwest including our
Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail.  The Annual Meeting will
present the accomplishments and volunteer recognition for 2011
of the Mt. Hood Chapter of the PCTA.  We have volunteer
opportunities available on the 221 miles of the PCT that we
maintain from Mt. Jefferson Wilderness to Mt. Adam.  This gives
you an opportunity to help maintain part of the 2650 mile long
Mexico to Canada trail or volunteer in some other needed capacity.
*******************************************
The guest speaker this year will be David Cobb, professional outdoor and wilderness photographer, veteran long distance hiker of
the PCT and other long trails around the world.  His presentation will
help improve your photography by remembering the four basic tenants
of photography through light, color, form and expression.  Critical composition will be discussed and he’ll offer an introduction
to exposure strategies.
