A Tragic Loss

Chuck Martiny, Former Caretaker and Crew Leader for the Mt. Hood Chapter of the PCTA. died Monday in a boating accident. All of us who have worked alongside Chuck will remember him for his love of the trail an his infectious enthusiasm in maintaining it. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and he will be sorely missed.

Chucks funeral will be next Monday, March 29  11 AM at Pegg, Paxson and Springer Funeral chapel, 4675 SW Watson,  Beaverton.

Karen Martiny, Chuck's wife, said if anyone wanted to make a donation in his memory that Chuck would  have liked it to be sent to the Pacific Crest Trail Association, 1331 Garden Highway, Sacramento, CA 95833.
