Date: February 27th 2016
Hello everyone,
Here’s an opportunity to get out and on the PCT Alternate, Eagle Creek Trail. We need
4 volunteers to help hauling gear, working as swampers and directing hikers. This will be
Saturday March 5th and it will be an early start to get ahead of the all the hikers out there!
You will need to provide your lunch, snacks as water for the day. And please dress for Oregon spring weather, be ready for cool weather and rain! You will need to wear long pants and long sleeves and sturdy work boots. You will need
a pair of work gloves as well. If you have your own hard hat, bring it along.
We will provide all the tools and instructions needed for the day. We will also have hard hats and gloves for those that don’t have them.
There are four large trees about 4-5 miles up the Eagle Creek trail, that need to be taken out. Lamar Fontaine is the crew leader, John Cunningham is the saw lead.
Interested? Have the time too?? Hit reply, or send me an e-mail at
tturner@pcta.or, and I’ll get you on the crew list. Thanks for considering this one,
Tammy
