Date: January 12th 2016

Hello everyone,

I know this is last minute, but perhaps there are 2 volunteers out there that might be willing to go out this Saturday, 1/16/16. This is a log out up on the PCT between Herman Creek and Teakettle Springs.

This is a good opportunity for folks that have never been out on a crew, lots of hiking and time to ask question about trail work!

The downside to this crew is the hike to the work site, it is probably up to 5 miles, almost all uphill!  But coming back out, it’s mostly downhill and the other good thing – this is in wilderness and so is a cross cut project. Not many tools to carry!

Rain or shine.  SNOW will probably limit our access though.

You will need to dress appropriately for the weather; long pants, long sleeves, sturdy boots, plus layers to stay warm. Please no cotton, we don’t need hyperthermia! You will need to bring water, lunch and snacks for the day as well.

We will provide all the tools and instructions needed. If you have a hard hat, bring it along plus your comfy work gloves. If you don’t have either, we will have both on hand for you to use.

So, if this works for you, please hit reply and I’ll get you on the crew list. Plus if you can add your phone number so we can call you if we need to cancel due to too much snow!

Thanks,

Tammy
