Hello everyone,
Here’s an opportunity for another Thursday crew! We need
6-8 volunteers to help out on the Muddy Fork Section, drainage repair on
October 22nd.
We will working on the north end of the Muddy Fork section near Bald Mountain, improving drainage of the trail as preparation for this winter's runoff. We will be removing berm from the side
of the trail, cleaning drain dips and converting old style water bars to new style water bars and drain dips. The hiking distance will be
2-3 miles round trip.
You will need to bring lunch, snacks, water for the day and wear long pants and sleeves and sturdy boots. You will also need to bring a pair of work gloves and a hard hat if you own one. Please
bring inclement weather gear, just in case, it is October.
We will provide all the tools and instruction that may be needed. We will also have hard hats and some gloves. The crew leader for this crew is Robert Caldwell.
So, does this crew sound like fun and something you can help out on?? Please hit reply or send me an e-mail and I’ll get you on the crew! Thanks for reading this one.
One last thing; Please leave all pets at home, this is both a PCTA and Forest Service requirement. We all love our pets, but they are not necessarily safe on a crew and your attention needs
to be for the work at hand and your safety. No need to split your attention further!
