Date: October 5th 2015
Hi everyone,
We are in need of 6-8 volunteers for the Eagle Creek bridge re-planking on
Thursday October 15th. This just past Punch Bowl Falls, about a 4 mile round trip hike with a 500-650’ elevation gain. We will hand carry about 12 to 14 - 8’ x 12” x 1” cedar boards and various tools (drills, screws, saws, hammers, shovels, etc.)
to the site. If we have additional time we may also work on the previously decommissioned trail at Punch Bowl Falls.
It is the Gorge and fall, so folks should dress for cold morning weather, a chance of rain and sunny afternoons. Please wear long pants, long sleeved shirts, sturdy boots and warm clothing (hats, gloves). We will supply hard hats, work
glasses, and work gloves if you need them, but feel free to bring your own.
Please bring lunch, snacks and drinks for the day and anything else to you might need. We will work rain or shine and only cancel in the case of severe weather.
So, does this sound like a good crew for you? Then hit the reply button or send me an e-mail at
tturner@pcta.org and I’ll get you on the crew list. When you do reply, please provide your phone number in case we have to make changes due to severe weather.
Thanks for considering this one!
Tammy
