Date: June 11th 2015

Hello everyone,

We need 6 to 10 volunteers needed on Saturday, June 20, to clear the PCT on the lower shoulder of Mt. Adams from Forest Road 23 to Trail Junction 64A; approximately 2.5 miles.

Something for everyone to do.  We will remove 8 logs, clear winter debris, clean drain dips & clear culverts, do light tread restoration, install check steps, replace trail signs, sweep a couple of bridges, and most importantly HAVE FUN.

Our goal is to be on the trail by 10:00, finish our work by 4:00/4:30, and have time for a pint and slice at an area brew pub--a Mt Adams South tradition.

Plan on a carpool from the Gateway Transit Center at 7:00 am, and a secondary stop/carpool from Hood River at 8:00.  More details to come when we firm up volunteer numbers.

Volunteers will need to wear long pants, a long sleeves, and work or hiking boots.  Plus bring lunch, water, snacks, insect spray/sunscreen, and work gloves.

We will provide all tools and safety equipment plus any instruction needed. We’ll bring the hard hats, but if you have one, please bring it along.

Hope you can join us on the 'Mountain'! Bob/Jane Arkes & Greg Mikol, Crew Leaders

So sound good and work with your schedule? Hit reply or send me an e-mail at tturner@pcta.org and I’ll get you on the list for this crew.
