Date: May 10th 2015
Hello,
Here’s a great opportunity for a fun, dirty time! We will be doing a lot of digging to recreate the trail through a slide area and an area where it has been covered by washouts
over the past several years.
We need
4 volunteers to help out on Wednesday, May 20th working on the Upper Muddy Fork
recreating the trail through a steep hillside area where the trail has slid away. This will involve strenuous digging in hard soil and carrying heavy tools. The hiking distance will be
4.5 miles round trip.
You will need to wear long pants, long sleeves and sturdy boots. You will be working rain or shine, so you will need to bring rain gear and avoid cotton to reduce the chance of hypothermia.
If you have a hard hat, please bring it along. If you have a pair of work gloves, bring them too!
You will also need to bring your lunch, snacks and water for the day.
We will provide tools and all the instructions needed to do this work. We will also provide hard hats. We will also have some gloves (however they may not be the best or a pair, so bringing
your own is best!).
If this sounds like fun to you, please hit reply or send me an e-mail at
tturner@pcta.org and I’ll get you on the crew list for the day. Once the crew is full, the crew leader, Robert Caldwell, will then send out an e-mail with all the particulars for the day.
Thanks for considering this crew,
Tammy
