Date: March 25th 2015

Hello folks,

Here is an opportunity to go look for Easter Eggs! No, not really we didn’t hide any out there. But we do have this great trail work opportunity on Sunday, April 5th. Upper Muddy Fork brushing crew, we’d like to get out and do some early season brushing while it is easier to cut before the leaf out starts.

We need 6 volunteers for this crew, you will be cutting brush back from alongside the trail that has narrowed the path for hikers. Using loppers and other hand tools. It will be about 3-4 miles round trip. You don’t need to be experienced, just want to get out make a difference on the trail.

You will need to wear or bring, weather appropriate clothing, you will be working rain or sun. You need to wear long pants and sleeves and sturdy boots. Please avoid cotton clothing to reduce the chance of hypothermia. You will also need to bring your lunch, snacks and water for the day. If you have a hard hat, please bring it and good work gloves too.

We will provide all the tools needed, plus hard hats for those that don’t have their own. We do have some gloves, but sometimes they aren’t the best option, but they will be there if you need them. We will also provide any training/instruction that might be needed as well.

Robert Caldwell will be the crew leader.

So, if you would like to get out and do a little early brushing, please hit the reply button and I’ll get you on the crew list. Robert will then send out an e-mail with all the particulars for the day when we have a full crew.

Thanks,

Tammy
