Date: January 4th 2015
Hello all,
Did your New Year’s Resolution involve giving back to the trail ? If so, we want to help you with that! Come out on
Tuesday, January 20th. We’re looking for a crew of 10 people.
We'll be helping out at Multnomah Falls. All skill levels are welcome. Our "to do" list involves lots of work. We'll be repairing and/or replacing erosion cloth,
installing cedar fencing, eradicating ends of old trail and rehabbing it with rocks, logs, and plants. On beyond the top of the falls there is a landslide and rocks to be moved near Larch Mountain.
The weather could be an issue. We go out in the rain and sometimes even snow, but if the ground is too frozen to dig or too icy to stand, that's a deal breaker. We'll try
to keep you informed as best as we can.
We'll work from 9 am and be out by 3:30 pm . Carpooling from Portland is an option for sure.
If this sounds good or you just have questions, reply back to
bmaffy@msn.com. The crew leaders are Ruth Weston and Roberta Cobb.
Happy New Trail Year!
Roberta and Ruth
