Date: September 30th 2014
Hey Folks,
Here is an opportunity to go listen to an interesting presentation and offer information about the PCT & PCTA! This is happening at Next Adventure (NE Grand & NE Stark),
6:30 p.m. on October 9th, Thursday. Here’s some information about the presentation:
Meet Jennifer Pharr Davis, 2012 National Geographic Adventurer of the Year
Jennifer Pharr Davis, author, hiker and speaker, has hiked over 12,000 miles on 6 different continents. She holds the fastest known time on the Appalachian
Trail, has written 5 books, and owns a hiking company. Join us as Jennifer discusses her new book, "Called Again", about her 46 day record on the Appalachian Trail in which she averaged nearly 47 miles per day. Listen to her fascinating story about overcoming
the odds and achieving her goal. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
I cannot make it to this great event, conflicting obligations, so am looking for someone (or two someones) that might be willing to set up an information table and talk to
folks about volunteering with us and/or becoming a member of the PCTA!
I’ll provide the materials you need to hand out, you just need to show up and enjoy the evening! Sound like fun?? Just hit the reply button or send me an e-mail at
tturner@pcta.org and I’ll get you set up for the evening.
Thanks,
Tammy
