Date: June 24th 2014

Hey everyone,

Here’s an opportunity to camp out on the trail and have some good hiking and trail work to boot!

We need 12 volunteers for this one It would be good if there were a couple crosscut sawyers in the group too. Read on for more information!

Please join me on Mt. Hood for a log out, camp out, backpacking fest!  On Saturday & Sunday, July 12 & 13. We will start at Timberline Lodge and hike 7 miles northbound to the junction of the PCT and Paradise Park. There will be some fantastic logs to get off the trail. Lots of practice for crosscut sawyers and others who love the trail.  Dinner will be provided.  Werewolves need not apply as it looks like there will be a full moon.

Crew leader: Ruth Weston

You will need to wear long pants, long sleeves and sturdy boots as always. You will also need to bring your own camping gear and food for breakfast Sunday and lunch for both days. Snacks and water containers too. You should think about bug spray, sun block and any other extra you might need too. If you have a hard hat, please bring it along as well as a pair of work gloves.

We will provide, as always, tools and hard hats and gloves if you need them. We will also provide any training or instruction needed and dinner Saturday night! And possibly some entertainment by werewolves!

Interested? GREAT! Hit the reply button or send me an email at tturner@pcta.org and thanks for considering going out on this crew!
