We are still looking for a few good volunteers here!! It’s gonna be a nice day out there, come on and hit your reply button and get out on the trail!! Thanks for considering this one!!
Hey everyone,
Here’s another trail maintenance crew for you to consider!
PCTA Work Party – Lost Lake Brushing and tread repair –
Saturday, June 7th
Looking for 6-8 volunteers, and we need folks that would like to run a brusher. The plan is to hike from Lost lake Campground up to the PCTA on the Huckleberry Trail, and then head North on the PCT. Total hiking may be 5-6 miles,
and 900 ft elevation gain.
This will be a long day, so pack a lunch, snacks, and plenty of water, as it's dry along the ridge. Wear long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy boots, plus comfortable gloves to handle the tools. Safety glasses recommended. Hardhats will
be provided, as well all the tools. This is a great time of year to be out on the trail.
Car pool from Eastside of Portland is possible, with an early morning meeting time. It’s about a 2 hour drive, from Portland. The crew leader is Leif Hovin. If this sounds like something you’d like to do next Saturday, then hit the reply
button or send me an e-mail at tturner@pcta.org and I’ll get you on his crew list!
Thanks for reading this one too!
