Date: April 6th 2012
Hi there everyone,
I am looking for a few folks to do Volunteer Recruitment
outside of the Clackamas REI. Now that sounds a little formidable, but actually
it is a fun afternoon of talking to folks about the PCT and trail work. Also
getting to talk about the PCTA and the Mt. Hood Chapter, therein. You don’t
need to know everything about these things, there will be literature too. I
provide all those things you need, flyers, brochures, maps, even pictures of
work parties and you provide enthusiasm about trail work and the PCT! It’s
a great trade off. (REI provides us with a table and chairs!)
The dates are:
Saturday, May 19th
Sunday, June 10th
The hours will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. separated
into two shifts:
the set up crew that comes in at 11 and stays
until 1
the tear down crew that comes in at 1 and
stays until 3
Of course if you would like to stay for the whole time, that’s
workable too. There will be a canopy available in case of inclement weather (or
too much sun<ha!>), that is very easy to set up and take down.
Please let me know if you are interested in helping out with
this much needed and rewarding volunteer opportunity by hitting the reply
button or e-mailing me direct at tturner@pcta.org
Thanks for reading and considering these great opportunities,
Tammy Turner
