2010  GEOCACHING  &  POTLUCK  BARBECUE

CELEBRATING A GREAT SEASON OF WORK

 

When: Saturday, OCTOBER 2, 2010

Where: Champoeg State Park
From I-5, take Exit 278 and head west. 
Follow the signs 6 miles to the Park. 
Then Follow the Signs to Oak Grove.

Please note; Everything is free except the State Parks Day Use Auto Fee of $5. Think carpooling!
11 AM: Sharpen your GPS skills by joining Steve Queen in a geocaching adventure. Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. If you have a GPS or can borrow one, please bring it with you. We'll be able to share, but the more GPS units we have, the better. We will also be doing radio training and Spot emergency locator training.

 

   

1 PM: Celebrate another successful season 
with your fellow Maintainers. 

We’ll supply hot dogs and soft drinks, BYOB.
Bring chips & dip, salads, entrees, desserts 
or whatever.

Come for both or either, rain or shine
Covered option for inclement weather.

Volunteers for the Mount Hood Chapter of the Pacific Crest Trail Association maintain the 217 miles of PCT between Midway Meadows south of Washington's Goat Rocks Wilderness and Park Ridge in Oregon's Mount Jefferson Wilderness.

Members of this mailing list are notified of upcoming trail maintenance projects, training opportunities, meetings and other information relevant to the Mount Hood Chapter.
