VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TRAIL MAINTENANCE

This area has been looking for a crew to restructure drainages for the last 3 years. We need at least a dozen folks to dig out, clean, and restructure 4 seasonal creek crossings. In addition, the whole section needs to have logs removed, and lots of brush cut so hikers, runners, and horses can stay on the tread. There is one landslide to clear if we have time.

Meet at the Bridge-of-the-Gods Rest Area at 9:00 AM Saturday August 28^th. Bring your lunch and water. You need sturdy footwear (no running shoes) long sleeve shirt, long pants, and gloves.

After the workjoin us for pizza and a cool drink.

Volunteers for the Mount Hood Chapter of the Pacific Crest Trail Association maintain the 217 miles of PCT between Midway Meadows south of Washington's Goat Rocks Wilderness and Park Ridge in Oregon's Mount Jefferson Wilderness.

Members of this mailing list are notified of upcoming trail maintenance projects, training opportunities, meetings and other information relevant to the Mount Hood Chapter.
