VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TRAIL MAINTENANCE
This is a rescheduling of work parties originally scheduled for June 8 & June 18-20 that were postponed due to remaining snowpack. Sawyers and Trail Maintainers are still needed for these two Mt. Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Williams Mine Trail Head. 6 Volunteers are needed for Log Out, Trail and Bridge Maintenance. Mt. Adams FS Road 23 to Wilderness Boundary. An easy midweek maintenance project on the PCT. You wear long pants, long sleeve shirt, sturdy boots, and gloves. We provide all tools, hard hats, and safety gear. Crew Leader: Bob Arkes
Friday, Saturday & Sunday, July 30 to Aug. 1, 2010
Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Mt. Adams Wilderness Boundary to Horseshoe Meadow. 10 Volunteers are needed for Logging and Maintenance on the PCT. An opportunity to combine camping and trail maintenance on the shoulder of Mt. Adams. We will car camp at the Williams Mine Trail head, off FS Road 23, approximately 14 miles north of Trout Lake. You will provide personal gear and camping equipment. We will provide food, beverage, and fun. We will work from noon Friday till noon Sunday with a goal of clearing a 5 miles section of trail from the Wilderness boundary to the junction of trail 9 at Horseshoe Meadow. Wear long pants, long sleeve shirt, sturdy boots and gloves. We provide all tools, hard hats, and safety gear. Crew Leader: Bob Arkes
