VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TRAIL MAINTENANCE

Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area & Mt. Hood National Forest, Four certified crosscut sawyers are needed for a two night back country trip near Deadwood Camp on the Gorton Creek trail. This will be a strenuous backpacking trip with over 2000' of elevation gain in the first morning sawing as we climb. Day two we'll climb some more, travelling remote trails, clearing and sawing whatever gets in our way. Return to Herman Camp on Saturday. Crew leader: Kim Owen.

Volunteers for the Mount Hood Chapter of the Pacific Crest Trail Association maintain the 217 miles of PCT between Midway Meadows south of Washington's Goat Rocks Wilderness and Park Ridge in Oregon's Mount Jefferson Wilderness.

Members of this mailing list are notified of upcoming trail maintenance projects, training opportunities, meetings and other information relevant to the Mount Hood Chapter.
