VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TRAIL MAINTENANCE
Making plans for a summer vacation? How about a great weekend working on the PCT from Ramona Falls to Paradise Park. Then add some time to see the falls, the remains of a ranger station (hopefully to be restored) and the beautiful flowers of Paradise Park. Friday to Sunday, July 9-11, 2010
Mt. Hood National Forest, Ramona Falls to Paradise Park. Eight certified crosscut sawyers needed for log out of PCT between Ramona Falls and Paradise Park for July 9-11 weekend. We will meet Friday late afternoon/evening to backpack 4 miles to base camp near the Sandy River. On Saturday, we will saw and chop our way up to Paradise Park then return to camp. Sunday we will finish any log clearing then work on the the trail enroute to the cars. Arrive back at the cars Sunday, about 3:00 p.m. This will be a strenuous weekend, with lots of hiking and physical work in a beautiful area. Annual crosscut saw re-certifications will be available as part of this PCT Logout. Crew leader: Kim and Pam Owen.

Volunteers for the Mount Hood Chapter of the Pacific Crest Trail Association maintain the 217 miles of PCT between Midway Meadows south of Washington's Goat Rocks Wilderness and Park Ridge in Oregon's Mount Jefferson Wilderness.
Members of this mailing list are notified of upcoming trail maintenance projects, training opportunities, meetings and other information relevant to the Mount Hood Chapter.
