Date: June 12th 2015
Hey there,
Here’s a mid-week crew for those that work on weekends or just want to take a break from regular work. We need
6 volunteers to help repair eroded water crossing on Upper Muddy Fork,
Thursday June 25th.
Upper Muddy Fork water crossing #2: We will be rebuilding sections of the trail where water crossing have eroded the tread and created a safety hazard for hikers. We will
be digging out sections of tread and moving and building with large rocks and boulders to reinforce the trail and prevent future erosion. Hiking will be 3 - 5 miles round trip.
You will need to bring your lunch, snacks and water for the day. You should bring bug repellant and/or sunblock. You do need to wear long pants, long sleeves and sturdy boots,
no running shoes. Also good work gloves are recommended. If you own a hard hat, please bring it along as well.
We will provide all the tools and personal protection equipment (PPE) that is needed. This includes, hard hats and eye protection and gloves (although we cannot guarantee
they will match!). And any instruction that might be needed. The crew leader for the day is Robert Caldwell.
So if this sounds interesting to you, hit reply (or send an e-mail to
tturner@pcta.org) and I will get you on the list for this crew.
Thanks so much,
Tammy
