Date: May 3rd 2015

Good Evening all,

We are in need of 2 volunteers to act as swampers for a two-day logout  Thursday & Friday, May 7 & 8, on the Warm Springs section between North Pinhead Butte and the Warm Springs River.

This will be a good opportunity for A-level sawyers to gain experience.

You will be car camping on Thursday night
. You will be hiking 6-8 miles per day. Volunteers will need to carry up to 10 lbs. of equipment along with their own gear.

You will need to bring your own lunches for the trail, Thursday dinner and Friday breakfast
. Plus any snacks you might want and water. And all the gear you would normally have for camping.

As always, you will need to wear long pants, long sleeves & sturdy hiking boots. Some things to know & think about: If the weather forecast becomes unfavorable for logout (i.e. wind or heavy rain), the project will be postponed. Also please note that evening temperatures at this altitude are still dropping below freezing.

Crew leader: David Roe. He will be sending out the e-mail with all the particulars, including carpooling options. If you are interested in this crew, please hit the reply button or send me an e-mail at tturner@pcta.org.

Cheers!

Tammy
