Date: March 6th 2015

Hello again,

It is that time of year when we start asking for help at many types of events, not just trail work. If you can help out, that’s great. But never fear, we will be having trail crew needs soon!

Currently, we need 3 volunteers for the OSU Tree School that will be held at Clackamas Community College on March 21st. It will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. My thought is that if there are 3 folks there, they can take breaks throughout the day.

What is Tree School you might ask: Every year, the Clackamas Community College campus is transformed into Tree School. The annual weekend, organized by the Oregon State University Extension Service, is a festival of learning for people who love forests. OSU and agency experts teach dozens of workshops covering everything from chainsaw safety to mushroom identification to wood product marketing.

This will be a great opportunity for the Mt. Hood Chapter to talk to many people interested in forestry, trees, wilderness and trail work. If you are interested in helping us out on March 21st, please hit the reply button or send me an e-mail at tturner@pcta.org

Thanks for reading,

Tammy
