Date: January 23rd 2015
Good Morning All!
Here is another chance to get out in our lovely winter weather and do some trail work! We are in need of
8 volunteers on Monday 2/9.
You will be working on the Eagle Creek Trail working on the trail tread, repairing a bridge rail/foot brace, and general trail repair by removing a small rock slide and rolling a large log off the trail.
As always, you should wear weather specific clothing,
the trail is very wet, muddy and with lots of loose rocks, so good waterproof boots/shoes with warm, waterproof clothes. We will work in rain or shine, but not if it is ice or freezing.
You should bring water, lunch and snacks as needed. You should have besides the warm clothes listed above, good work gloves (it has been suggested that wearing a pair of the rubber ones under a larger pair of leather, is the best combo!)
and bring rain gear just in case.
Our crew leaders will be Lamar Fontaine and Roberta Cobb. If you are interested in joining this crew, hit reply or send me an e-mail and I’ll put you on the crew list. When the crew has been filled, the crew leaders will send you an
e-mail with all the particulars to the day, including times to meet and carpooling opportunities.
Thanks for considering helping us out on this crew!
