Hi Folks,
Sorry for the short notice, but I need a few folks to staff a table at an event on Saturday 1/17, starting at 1:30 p.m. going until about 8 p.m. I was thinking that it could be in 2 hour shifts, I would set up at 1:30 and leave at 2, so
having a volunteer at the table from 2 to 4, 4 to 6 and 6 to 8. I would then come and tear down and take the table and materials with me.
But even if you canât help out, you should consider coming for the event!! Lots of great information about hiking the PCT and a good short film too! Here is a synopsis of what is happening:
2:00 pm - Hiking the PaciÂc Crest Trail Class
Join PacifiÂc Crest Trail thru-hiker and Only the Essential producer Colin Arisman as he shares lessons learned Âfirst hand from his 2668 mile, 5 month journey on the trail. Whether you are planning a day hike or 5 month thru-hike, Arisman
will introduce the basics necessary to have a safe and meaningful experience on the PacifiÂc Crest Trail. Topics will include thru-hiking tips, ultra-light philosophy, gear demo, trip preparation, "Leave No Trace" and day & weekend hike ideas. (2 to 4 pm)
7:30 pm -Only thÂe Essential Film Screening
Enjoy a 2,668 mile cinematic journey on the PacifiÂc Crest Trail. Thâe Âfilm captures the raw emotion of a
Âfive month, thru-hike through the wilderness of California, Oregon and Washington. Film is 40 minutes in length.
-Q&A and opportunity to speak with the fiÂlm-maker
-Beer from Base Camp Brewing
-Raffle: top gear from Next Adventure, Granite Gear, Big Agnes
-After Party at Base Camp Brewing - 9:30 pm

Volunteers for the Mount Hood Chapter of the Pacific Crest Trail Association maintain the 217 miles of PCT between Midway Meadows south of Washington's Goat Rocks Wilderness and Park Ridge in Oregon's Mount Jefferson Wilderness.
Members of this mailing list are notified of upcoming trail maintenance projects, training opportunities, meetings and other information relevant to the Mount Hood Chapter.
