Date: June 7th 2014
Hey folks,
Here is another great opportunity to get out and help us on the trail. The Eagle Creek Trail is one that the Mt. Hood Chapter has recently adopted as it is a PCT alternative route. So, check this one out!
UPPER EAGLE CREEK TRAIL
Come one , come all up to 10 volunteers, great project for new volunteers!
Date: Saturday June 28
Crew leader: Busdriverjohn
Major tread reconstruction within 1 mile, yes one mile, of trail head at Wahtum Lake parking lot. Lopper, hoe, shovel, and rock work -- strong backs!
You will need to bring your lunch, water and snacks for the day. As always, you will wear long sleeves, long pants and sturdy boots (work or hiking) and if you have a favorite pair of gloves – bring them too! Oh and if you have your own
hard hat, we would be happy to have you bring it as well.
We will provide tools, hard hats and all the instruction you might need to help repair the trail. We will also have some gloves, can’t guarantee the fit though.
This will be a good crew for a Saturday in June!! So, hit the reply button or send me an e-mail at
tturner@pcta.org and I’ll get you on the crew list.
Thanks for reading this one,
Tammy
