Date: May 12th 2014
Good Morning Volunteers!!!!
We are in need of
6 volunteers to repair slide damage, tread work and some brushing out on Trail 600, a PCT alternate that Mt. Hood Chapter has recently taken as part of their own to care for! We need these lovely volunteers on
Sunday May 18th.
More particulars: Northern part of the Upper Muddy Fork Section, trail 600, between Bald Mt and the Muddy Fork crossing. We will hike in and
travel about 5-6 miles round trip. The trail we will be working on is snow free, but the trail leading to the work area may still have some snow (1/2-3/4 miles).
You will need to bring; weather appropriate clothing, long sleeves and long pants are a must, as are sturdy boots/shoes, work gloves and if
you have your own hard hat that would be great too! You will need lunch, water and snacks!
We will provide all the tools, hard hats, for those that don’t own one, gloves (for those of us who can’t find them on the way out the door!
That would be me!), and all the instruction you might need to get the work done!!
Crew leaders: Robert Caldwell and Roberta Cobb
Sound like fun and something you want to do?? Hit the reply button or send me an e-mail at
tturner@pcta.org and I’ll get you on the crew list!
Thanks for reading and considering this opportunity,
Tammy
