Thursday to Saturday, June 17-19, 2010

Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Oregon side. Four certified crosscut sawyers needed for a two night back country trip near Deadwood Camp on the Gorton Creek trail. This will be a strenuous backpacking trip with over 2000' of elevation gain in the first morning sawing as we climb. Day two we'll climb some more, travelling remote trails, clearing and sawing whatever gets in our way. Return to Herman Camp on Saturday. Crew Leader: Kim Owen.

What Gabion installation rock harvesting and tread reconstruction

When Wednesday, June 23rd

Where PCT - Washington side (about ½ mile north of Greenleaf Creek)

If there is timewe will clear a camp site for the SCA Crew that will be working north of the Carpenter Lake Junction.

Bring usual PPE, lunch, water, assume rain & sun & bugs - we will bring all the tools.

Volunteers for the Mount Hood Chapter of the Pacific Crest Trail Association maintain the 217 miles of PCT between Midway Meadows south of Washington's Goat Rocks Wilderness and Park Ridge in Oregon's Mount Jefferson Wilderness.

Members of this mailing list are notified of upcoming trail maintenance projects, training opportunities, meetings and other information relevant to the Mount Hood Chapter.
